Clwyd, Conwy & Gwynedd Rivers Trust


The Trust commenced fly life monitoring on catchment tributaries in 2008 following the training of key volunteers and the purchase of necessary equipment.  The Trust has recently expanded its activities into the neighbouring county of Gwynedd and volunteers have been recruited who will be trained early in 2014 to undertake this important monitoring on rivers and streams in that county. Rosset and Gresford Fly Fishing Club

Coordinator  Howard Stevens  05/01/12 Sites      River Alyn (5) Team     15 Activity   Since Sept 2007 The club hosted a workshop in 2007, sponsored by the Environment Agency,  and has since registered 5 sample sites. Monitoring takes place bimonthly with 3 people sharing the responsibility of each site. Winter sampling is expected to be less frequent due to the increased flow in the river.
