Brass, Three Down

Recently, the Freshwater Biological Association (FBA) was asked to take part in a short film, entitled 'Brass, Three Down', about the history, heritage and environmental challenges facing Arctic Charr in Windermere. The filmmakers, Henry Iddon and Richard Berry (both local to Windermere), were aware that the FBA holds historical data on Windermere, including lake surface temperature (of which FBA Membership Officer Rosalind Maberly is featured recording in the film).

The short film includes a range of people, such as freshwater ecologist Ian Winfield from the Centre for Ecology and Hydrology, and was premiered at Kendal Mountain Festival last week. FBA has now received permission to share the film which is definitely worth a watch if you have a spare ten minutes.
