The new online database for the Anglers' Riverfly Monitoring Initiative (ARMI) is now live. The system, built by the Freshwater Bilogical Association for RP, is a ground breaking and eagerly awaited development for the ARMI and will enable registered users to use the following features:

  • online data entry;
  • view site specific ARMI data over time (for own site(s) and for any other ARMI site);
  • view ARMI taxon data;
  • traffic light system for completed surveys including feedback trail between monitor, coordinators and statutory agency contact where trigger level breach is confirmed;
  • Geographic Information Systems (GIS) mapping of all ARMI sites across the UK;
  • automatic trigger breach reporting to statutory agency contact;
  • catchment ARMI reports;
  • historic data import facility.

ARMI volunteer monitors, hub coordiantors, group coordinators and RP tutors can now register to use the system at and details of a programme of regional training workshops for coordinators and tutors will be announced by RP soon.
