Following the Riverfly Interest Group series of 1day workshops, 2 of which were held at C&DAA Headquarters on the Great Kentish Stour (hence  photograph used on the Home page) and the 2nd conference on 8th March 2007, several members of the C&DAA Fly Section met on April 11th 2007 and our first AMI .survey took place on the 21st. With the exception of 3 occasions we have carried out surveys ever month since.We have 6 regular members 5 of whom are workshop trained.

We have had 1 breach of trigger levels caused by a deposition of run-off silt and sand.

AMI group was started in 2010, monitoring on the Sussex Ouse. we have only one member at the moment but am in discussions with the fishing syndicate upstream and with the Sussex Ouse Conservation Society, who monitor elsewhere on the river. monitoring takes place at one location at the moment, but plans are underfoot to extend this to other locations.
