The Severn Rivers Trust AMI is growing rapidly and now monitors sites on a monthly basis on the River Severn, Teme, Rea, Clun, Rhiew, Alne, Ledwyche, Cain, Leadon, Stour, Preston and Leigh Brooks.
The highly successful Severn & Avon River Fly Life conference was held in January and funded by the Big Lottery Fund. The Cain Valley River Group will be joining the Severn Rivers Trust AMI later this year, and a number of schools invertebrate days are planned following successes of previous years.
We have had no breaches in trigger levels to date but have discovered a rarity on the River Teme, the Yellow Mayfly (Potamanthus luteus)
